WINTER'S BEST GINGERSNAPS BY AMANDA JOHNSON
3/4 c shortening 1 c sugar
1/4 c molasses 1 egg
2 c flour 2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger 1/4 tsp salt
sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and egg; beat well. Stir in dry ignredients; mix well. Shape into balls; dip in sugar. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes.
