CARMELITA BARS BY BRADY STEVENS
Combine 2 c flour, 2 c oatmeal, 1 c brown sugar, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 1/2 c melted margarine. Press 1/2 of mixture into a 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Mix together 12 oz smucker's Caramel Ice Cream topping with 6 T flour. Set aside.
Top the warm crust with 12 oz chocolate chips and 1 c nuts. Pour caramel topping over this. Top with remaining crumb mixture.
Bake 20 minutes. Chill for easier cutting.
