APPLE COBBLER
4 c thinly sliced apples 1 t baking powder
1/2 c sugar 1/4 t salt
1/2 t cinnamon 1 egg, beaten
1/2 c chopped pecans 1/2 c evaporated milk
1 c flour 1/3 c margarine, melted
1 c white sugar 1/4 c chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Generously grease a 2 qt baking dish. Arrange apple slices in an even layer in the baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 c sugar, cinnamon, and 1/2 c pecans. Sprinkle over apples.
In a medium bowl, mix together flour, 1 c sugar, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl whisk together egg, evaporated milk, and melted margarine. Pour milk mixture into flour mixture all at once, and stir until smooth. Pour mixture over apples, and sprinkle wop with 1/2 c chopped peans.
Bake for 55 minutes.
